VISION AND MISSION
RIC Centre’s vision is to build and maintain an organization that is an inspiration to clusters world wide for convergence in advance manufacturing, aerospace and life sciences for commercialization success.
Through defined strategic actions; pro-actively connect industry, academia and investment to gain meaningful results that support commercialization.
Research. Innovation. Commercialization Centre (RIC Center), formerly Western GTA Convergence Centre (WGTACC) is one of the twelve Regional Innovation Networks (RINs).
Together with other RINs, RIC has developed programs, services and communication platforms to link the largest network of life science industry stakeholders in Ontario, including world-class research institutions to multi-national companies. This has allowed for significant strides to be made in unifying and streamlining the commercialization efforts of Ontario’s complex and dynamic innovation infrastructure.
Ontario’s Regional Innovation Networks (RINs) are multi-stakeholders organizations designed to support commercialization. Principally through effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration focused on the needs of researchers, entrepreneurs and growing companies, RINs play a critical role in establishing a regionally driven innovation environment across the province, creating an enhanced commercialization infrastructure within a culture of innovation.
